Our traditional June show
is Charity Fair and this year was no different. It is a fav with the
clients. We had lots of kids to get in and out of the ring and they
all rose to the occasion of the large Del Mar classes! Emily Evans
had a great week with a third in the 20 rider UPHA Challenge Cup,
forth in the 18 rider Championship and 3rd in the USEF Medal! Hanna
and Ada Johnson and Vanessa Ybarra all added to the deep waters at
this show in the equitation division. Vanessa also got a great
second with her mare in a big Classic Pleasure class. Delaney Weed
had 2 clean goes with her impressive TE Ammunition and got 2
excellent ribbons, Madison Sanderson handled riding at the fair, and
all that it entails, very well in the walk trot division and
Caroline Cherry rode Promises Promises in a class to round out our
Jr rider contingency! Kate Aldinger rode her mother's Dreammaster
J'st Outrajus to 3 great ribbons...a second in the open classic
qualifier, a win in the ladies classic pleasure and they were the
Classic Pleasure Saddle Champions of the show. This pair is pure
fun! Elaine Olsen has a problem many of us would love to have...she
has 2 ama park harness horses!! So, while Boxford Bravura is for
sale, Teri Brisco is reaping the benefits of Elaine's dilemma and
getting to show him...and show they did! A bit of over exuberance
got the best of the in the Ama park Harness qualifier, but they sure
looked great! With controlled enthusiasm they came back in the stake
and put on another great show. Elaine showed her SYP High Definition
to reserve in the qualifier and stake in what was a stellar
division! Elaine was also the ama pleasure driving champion with
Stonecroft Notorious after being reserve in the qualifier to
barnmate Shirley Henry-Biszantz and her Lucky As Me! Shirley and
Phil were reserve in the championship. Sue McCullough and Glory Days
took on the excitement of the band in center ring with the control
they were looking for and got 2 top ribbons in 2 deep classes.
Kirsten Johnson rode her beautiful GLB Perfect Harmony to the win in
the Ladies English Pleasure as well as a reserve in a competitive
Ama. English Pleasure Championship. Finally, World Champion Ultra's
Private Eye made his saddle debut with a win in the Jr Horse English
Pleasure for owners Eric and Kristin Yang. We're enjoying
the perfect weather here in Southern California right now with our
daytimes in the mid 80's at most and our mornings in the low 50's
and preparing ourselves for the long trip to New England this year.
hope to see you all at the horse shows!! Stacy
